LEGACY
Initially, Investment Society Lausanne (“IS”) was founded on April 3, 2019 by four 1st year undergraduate students having a strong interest in investment management and the desire to build a real investment fund managed by UNIL and EPFL students.
Faced with the complexity of the activity, five additional members joined the founding group to help finalize the project. This development period lasted almost over a year and many obstacles came into play, notably the legal aspect of this innovative structure as well as the covid-19 crisis, which required major changes in the continuation of the activity.
Fast forward to 2021, IS became the largest association in terms of active members and has successfully reached CHF 10,000 in AuM with the support of private institutions. These achievements could not have happened without the the dedication and perseverance of its founding members.
All of them have now either entered the workforce or undertaken further studies at other prestigious universities.
